Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026 is the state-level admission process for candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical and dental colleges across Gujarat. The counselling is conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) on the basis of NEET UG 2026 merit.

For the academic year 2026-27, the online PIN purchase and registration process for Gujarat medical and dental undergraduate admissions has started. ACPUGMEC published the registration notice on 31 July 2026. Candidates are required to complete the online registration, document verification and subsequent choice-filling process as per the schedule notified by the committee.

Who Conducts Gujarat State Counselling for NEET UG 2026?

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) conducts Gujarat NEET UG counselling.

ACPUGMEC was constituted under the Gujarat Professional Medical Education Institutions, Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees Act, 2007. It is responsible for regulating admissions to professional undergraduate medical and dental courses in Gujarat.

For Gujarat medical and dental undergraduate colleges, ACPUGMEC conducts the online merit-based admission process for Government Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota seats.

The official counselling portal is the Gujarat Medical and Dental UG Admission website. Candidates should use only the official portal for registration, PIN purchase, document verification instructions, merit lists, choice filling and allotment notices.

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Rounds

The Gujarat NEET counselling process is conducted through multiple rounds, depending on the schedule issued by ACPUGMEC and the counselling framework applicable for the academic year.

Round 1

Candidates registered with ACPUGMEC participate in the first round by filling their preferred colleges and courses. Seats are allotted according to merit, category, seat availability and preference order.

Round 2

Candidates can participate in the subsequent round according to the rules specified by ACPUGMEC. Vacant seats and seats arising from non-reporting or cancellation may be included.

Round 3

A further allotment round may be conducted to fill remaining seats. The eligibility and participation rules can differ from earlier rounds.

Stray Vacancy Round

Seats remaining vacant after the regular counselling rounds may be offered through an online stray vacancy round. Participation conditions are generally stricter, and candidates must carefully read the applicable notice before giving consent or filling choices.

In the 2025-26 Gujarat process, ACPUGMEC conducted multiple online rounds followed by an online stray vacancy process for MBBS/BDS. A special stray round was also conducted for remaining MBBS/BDS vacancies.
