NBEMS has released the NEET PG 2026 exam day instructions for the candidates which includes reporting time, what to carry, dress code, biometric verification, security checks and banned items.

NEET PG 2026 Exam Day Schedule

Candidates should report well in advance of the gate closing time. No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination centre, under any circumstances, after the entry gate is closed at 08:30 AM.

Mandatory Documents Checklist for NEET PG Exam Day

Candidates who fail to produce the required documents at the examination centre may not be allowed to appear for the exam, even if they have a valid application.

• NEET PG 2026 Admit Card

• Original Photo ID Proof

• Permanent or Provisional Registration Certificate

• Indian Citizens / OCI who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India and qualified Foreign Medical Graduate Examination should also bring their original FMGE (Screening Test) Pass certificate issued on NBEMS letterhead.

• Foreign Nationals are required to bring their passport (original & valid) to the test centre along with any other documents (Registration with Medical Council in their country of nationality) as a proof of being a medical practitioner in their country.

• Candidate who have given their consent for Aadhaar based authentication and provided Aadhaar Number in the Application form, must bring the Aadhaar on the exam day.

What is the NEET PG 2026 Exam Dress Code?

Candidates are expected to wear simple and comfortable clothing to facilitate a smooth security screening process.

• Wear light, comfortable clothes without large pockets or unnecessary layers.

• Avoid clothing with heavy embroidery, metallic buttons, brooches, or decorative accessories.

• Wear simple footwear such as slippers or sandals. Shoes with thick soles or high ankles may invite additional security checks.

• Avoid watches, smart wearables, caps, scarves, sunglasses, and other accessories unless permitted for medical or religious reasons.

• If you require any special accommodation due to a medical condition, follow the instructions issued by NBEMS in advance and carry the necessary supporting documents.

What are the Security and Biometric Procedures for NEET PG Exam?

NBEMS follows a multi-level security and identity verification process to ensure a fair and transparent examination. Candidates are required to cooperate with the examination staff throughout the verification process.

• Document Verification: The admit card and original photo ID will be checked to verify the candidate's identity.

• Biometric Registration: Fingerprint and/or other biometric details will be captured to authenticate the candidate.

• Photograph Verification: Your photograph will be matched with the one uploaded during the application process.

• Security Frisking: Candidates will be frisked to ensure no prohibited items are carried inside the examination centre.

• Identity Verification: Examination staff may take additional steps to verify and record a candidate's identity whenever required. Candidates are expected to extend full cooperation during this process.

What are the Items to Carry for NEET PG 2026?

Carrying only the essential items can help you complete the verification process quickly and avoid unnecessary inconvenience at the examination centre.

• Printed NEET PG 2026 Admit Card

• Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration

• UDID/Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming a scribe/extra time as per provisions of the RPwD Act, 2016.

• Any one of the below mentioned Govt issued photo IDs

Reporting Time & Entry Rules for NEET PG Exam Day

Following the reporting schedule is just as important as carrying the required documents. Candidates should reach the examination centre well before the reporting time mentioned on their admit card to complete all mandatory verification procedures.

• Entry to the examination centre begins at 07:00 AM.

• The entry gate closes at 08:30 AM, after which no candidate will be allowed to enter under any circumstances.

• Candidates must complete document verification, biometric registration, and security checks before entering the examination lab.

• Identity checks may be conducted at multiple stages before and during the examination.

• Candidates should cooperate with the examination staff and follow all instructions issued at the test centre.

NEET PG Exam Lab Protocols and Technical Support 

Once you enter the examination lab, you must follow all instructions given by the invigilators. The examination is conducted in a highly monitored environment to maintain fairness and transparency.

• You'll be allotted a designated computer for the examination.

• On-screen instructions will be displayed before the exam begins. Read them carefully before starting.

• If you face any technical issue with your computer, mouse, keyboard, or monitor, immediately raise your hand and inform the invigilator.

• Do not attempt to troubleshoot the system yourself or switch workstations without permission.

• For any clarification during the examination, raise your hand and wait for the invigilator. Do not communicate with other candidates.

• Rough sheets, pens, and pencils are not provided or permitted inside the examination hall.

Last-Minute Checklist for NEET PG Exam Day

Before leaving for the examination centre, take a few minutes to go through this checklist:

• Printed colour copy of the NEET PG 2026 Admit Card

• Original government-issued photo ID

• Photocopy of Permanent/Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC Registration Certificate
