Who conducts MP NEET UG Counselling?

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh conducts the state NEET UG counselling process.

The counselling is carried out through the official DME MP online portal and covers admissions to MBBS and BDS courses. Candidates must complete registration, document submission, choice filling and other required steps through the portal within the prescribed deadlines.

The 15% All India Quota seats in government medical colleges are handled separately through MCC counselling. DME Madhya Pradesh conducts counselling for the seats falling under its state counselling process, including the applicable state quota and private college seats as notified.

MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Registration 

Candidates must complete the registration process online through the DME Madhya Pradesh portal. For Round 1, registration is open from August 5 to August 13, 2026.

Steps to Register

Step 1: Visit the official DME portal

Go to the DME Madhya Pradesh counselling portal and select the relevant NEET UG counselling option.

Step 2: Create your profile

Candidates need to create their profile using their NEET UG 2026 details. The current registration process begins with profile creation.

Step 3: Complete the registration form

MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should meet the following basic requirements to participate in Madhya Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026:

  • The candidate must have qualified NEET UG 2026.

  • The candidate must satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed for MBBS or BDS admission.

  • The candidate should have passed Class 12 or equivalent with the required subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, as applicable under NEET and NMC rules.

  • The candidate must satisfy the minimum qualifying percentile prescribed for NEET UG.

  • The candidate should meet the applicable age requirements.

  • Candidates claiming Madhya Pradesh state quota benefits must satisfy the applicable MP domicile requirements.

  • Candidates claiming reservation must possess valid certificates issued by the competent authority.

  • Candidates applying under special categories must fulfil the specific requirements notified by DME Madhya Pradesh.

MP NEET UG Counselling Merit List

The MP NEET UG Merit List 2026 is prepared by DME Madhya Pradesh after the registration process.

MP NEET UG Counselling Rounds

MP NEET UG counselling is conducted in multiple rounds to fill available MBBS and BDS seats.

Round 1

All eligible candidates who complete registration can participate in Round 1. Candidates fill and lock their preferred colleges and courses, after which DME conducts seat allotment.

Round 2

Candidates who do not receive a seat in Round 1 or those eligible for upgradation can participate according to the rules notified for the round. The exact 2026 schedule and eligibility conditions will be announced by DME.

Mop-Up Round

A further round may be conducted to fill seats remaining vacant after the earlier rounds. Eligibility and participation rules are determined by the counselling authority.

Stray Vacancy Round

Any seats remaining vacant after the regular counselling rounds may be filled through a stray vacancy process, subject to DME and applicable regulatory rules.

Candidates should not assume that the rules of one round automatically apply to another. Before participating in a subsequent round, they should check the latest DME notification regarding registration, choice filling, seat resignation and eligibility.

MP NEET UG Choice Filling Process

Choice filling is one of the most important stages of the counselling process because seat allotment is based partly on the preferences submitted by the candidate.

For Round 1, choice filling and locking are scheduled from August 15 to August 18, 2026.

How to Fill Choices:

  1. Log in to the DME MP counselling portal.

  2. Check the final seat matrix and available vacancies.

  3. Select the preferred MBBS and/or BDS colleges.

  4. Arrange the selected colleges in order of preference.

  5. Review the complete list carefully.

  6. Lock the choices before the deadline.

  7. Save or download the choice-filling confirmation.

MP NEET UG Seat Allotment Process

DME Madhya Pradesh conducts seat allotment after the completion of choice filling and locking.
