Candidates seeking admission through the 15% All India Quota must participate separately in MCC counselling.
The detailed 2026 eligibility conditions will be confirmed in the AMRU MBBS/BDS prospectus. Based on the latest AMRU prospectus and applicable NEET UG rules, candidates should meet the following requirements.
Candidates must qualify NEET UG 2026 and satisfy the minimum qualifying percentile prescribed for the relevant category.
Candidates should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with the required subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, in accordance with the prevailing NMC eligibility rules.
Candidates must satisfy the minimum age requirement applicable to NEET UG and MBBS/BDS admission. For the counselling cycle, candidates were required to have completed 17 years by December 31 of the admission year.
State quota eligibility is more specific than simply having a Himachal Pradesh address. The AMRU prospectus primarily included bonafide Himachalis and children of bonafide Himachalis who met the prescribed schooling conditions. It also specified eligibility provisions for certain children of government employees, defence personnel and other categories.
Candidates should carefully check the 2026 prospectus because the exact eligibility conditions and documentary requirements may be revised.
Management quota seats in private unaided medical and dental colleges were open in the cycle to NEET-qualified Indian nationals without a requirement of bonafide Himachali status, subject to the prescribed academic and other eligibility requirements.
